The Great iPhone Headphone Hunt 4

Feb29

Well the reader response to my previous post has been terrible so far :P

But I have had some luck in locating some headphone options I hadn’t previously heard of.

Etymotic HF2 iPhone Headphones

Ultimate Ears Super.fi 4vi iPhone Headphones

But then I also found another interesting solution which is an adapter that you can use with any heaphones to give you the mic and play control functionality! With the rather odd name of iSoniTalk Heaphone Adapter. You can check a review of it here

If you have used any of the above hardware, let us know how it they are in the comments below. I have emailed all the companies to see about a review and shall see whether they provide the goods for a full on showdown review here.

Yeah bring it on. I have looked at these v-modas but they seem pricey when so many people dont like the quality. I would happily pay for hf2’s or superfi’s if I knew they were worth the money but it is a lot to pay for a stab in the dark.

I have the monster adapter and can say that it’s ok, but it makes the thing so BULKY!!!!!!!! I cannot fit it in my pocket with the adapter attached and it seems like it could break real easy. It’s cheap but takes a lot of the elegance of the fone away.

I have been considering the v-moda plugs for some time but there are so many complaints about them that I dont wanna splash 100 bucks on them and find them to be no good. The adapter looks interesting so i can carry on using my current phones.
