Boycott Battlefield 2142 5
It’s the year 2006… buy a new computer and chances are it will come with a Widescreen monitor. Even if it doesn’t I can almost guarantee it will be a flatscreen LCD with a likely resolution of 1280×1024.
So why on earth do Dice/EA have the incredible idea that they will support no widescreen resolutions and not even the 1280×1024 resolution people have been screaming out for since the 1942 version of the game? It’s ridiculous to think that millions of drones that buy the next installment will be playing against men with oval heads again… I suspect the thought of rewriting the engine fills their accountants with horror and they are sticking to plan A which is BF2 with replacement models and maps… much cheaper!
Once again I find myself wishing that in the name of innovation, true gaming support and sticking one in the eye of the monopolists of the gaming world…people would just keep their money in their pockets!!

Man, if widescreen resolution is all you’re complaining about to EA and of the Battlefield series, I feel bad to call myself a gamer, if thats what you call yourself.
You have no problems with all the bugs and the rehashing of the same games over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again?…ack! sorry, the EA bug bit me…
This is awful, widescreen gaming is the future and EA are not part of it.
Mike…. I think you will find this is merely the latest of my anti-EA rants. Read some of the previous posts on this site
(sorry, but) You noobs

Add +szx 1280 +szy 1024 to the shortcut command line to set the resolution to 1280×1024.
Yes it sucks that they haven’t added some of the most common resolutions to the ingame options, but they still support them
Do a web seach EA BOYCOTT OR BOYCOTT EA AND join the move. WE can do this
